Local gusts of NE wind increasing again to 35-60, first in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic and towards late in the day also more southwards and in the Velebit Channel up to 75 knots. The sea locally 5, mainly towards the open but first in the North Adriatic. A risk of light isolated thunderstorms.
Synopsis
The weakened frontal disturbance is shifting to the east whereas a ridge of high is intensifying again from the northwest.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, towards evening gradually also more southwards NE wind increasing to 14-28, locally up to 32 and in the Velebit Channel up to 36 knots. The sea 2-3, intensifying to 3-4, first in the north and to 4-5 in the open. Visibility 20 km. Partially clear skies but with variable cloudiness there is a chance of light rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly in the open sea. In the evening clearing up in the North Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Moderate to strong NE, locally of near gale force and at the foot of Velebit also of gale force. The sea slight and moderate but in the open also rough. Partial clearing up. Variable cloudiness with likely rain and rain showers with thunder will remain in the South Adriatic and in the open sea.
