Local gusts of NE wind 35-65, in the Velebit Channel reaching up to 75 knots whereas in the open sea NW wind 35-45 knots. The sea possibly 5 locally towards the open. A risk of light isolated thunderstorms, mainly still today in the south of the Adriatic.

A ridge of high is intensifying from the northwest across the Adriatic whereas the low is shifting more southwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE 14-28, locally up to 32, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots and westwards of Istria 8-18 knots but will be turning to NW wind 16-26 knots in the open sea. The sea 3-4, possibly 5 locally towards the open. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear skies whereas in the South Adriatic there will be variable cloudiness and a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the far south.

The sea slight and moderate, possibly rough locally towards the open. Mostly clear skies whereas variably cloudy in the south of the Adriatic and still initially with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder.
