A trough with a frontal system is slowly approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
SE and S winds 10-20, in the far south of the Adriatic up to 24 knots but decreasing to 6-16 knots in the major part of the Adriatic, except in the South Adriatic. The sea 2-3, in the far south 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mostly cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the first part of the day in the North and in the second part of the day in the rest of the Adriatic.

Light to moderate SE and S winds will be turning to NE wind in the North Adriatic whereas moderate to strong SE wind remaining in the South Adriatic. The sea smooth to slight but moderate locally in the far south. Variably and mostly cloudy with scattered rain and rain showers with thunder, particularly in the Central and South Adriatic.
