Synopsis
The ridge of high from the European mainland is stationary across the Adriatic whereas the center of the Mediterranean low keeps staying southwards Sicily.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NW wind increasing to 6-16 knots but during the night, first along the coast turning to NE wind 6-16, in the Velebit Channel to 12-24 knots. The sea 1-2 in the South Adriatic but towards late in the day and at night 2-3 also elsewhere. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a risk of slight rain, mainly in the open sea of the North and of a part of the Central Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Light to moderate NE wind but moderate to strong at the foot of Velebit increasing to moderate to fresh and at the foot of Velebit to locally strong. The sea smooth to slight but also moderate locally in the North Adriatic. Gradual clearing up whereas still during the night variably cloudy and in the open sea of the Central Adriatic with a risk of slight rain.
